The Farol da Nazaré, located within the historic Forte de São Miguel Arcanjo (1577), is an iconic landmark on the promontory of Nazaré. Built in 1903, it features an 8-metre-tall red tower with a white light and is world-famous as the best viewpoint for observing the giant waves of Praia do Norte.
